Sensory Dinner for 2
Conceptual Art focuses on “ideas and purposes” rather than the “works of art”. To differentiate, conceptual art uses mixed media with a variety of everyday materials and “ready-made objects”.

Under Save Earth event, our client has given a conference hall to run our first private art show. We have chosen the topic “Malaysia Rainforest” as the main theme and given it a title under “Sensory Dinner for 2”. We wanted to produce an art sensation to our visitors, let them experience the space unlike their usual work environment, addressing domestic and food waste, the endangered species, mindful farming, 5R concept with painting on reclaimed wood gifted by Rino Kamal, wool felting art loaned by Kai1pay Handmade, and silversmith jewellery made by Su Ateliè .
Our special thanks to the Associate Profession DR. Faridah Qamaruz Zaman, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) not just for their generosity and trust in us by lending the artwork, but also attended the event to explain “Cyanotype” printing to the visitors.
- Refuse – We rented instead of buying props.
- Reduce – We have reduced bought material by recycling cardboards, used packaging, broken water bottles and used ice-cream styrofoam packaging.
- Reuse – We have reused the flowers and from past events.
- Repurpose – We have repurposed bubble wraps from packaging and turned into our “No poaching” artwork. We have also sundried durian husk as our artwork.
- Recycle – Tapir sculpture was made from egg carton box.
